Hello, I'm Lily.
I am a creative based in Toronto, striving to inspire others through media, photography, film, and writing. I have always been passionate about storytelling through creative expression and written word. I believe that creating with intention and purpose is essential, and I approach every project with this mindset.
My enthusiasm for media creation and bringing a vision to life has consistently driven my work. I am comfortable working independently or collaboratively and thrive in fast-paced environments. My previous roles have enriched my ability to achieve a creative vision through strategic execution, and I have enhanced my creative skills in various dynamic work environments. This has allowed me to develop solution-oriented efficiencies alongside my professional communication capabilities. Ultimately, I thrive in roles that enable me to utilize my creative abilities and interpersonal skills.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Film and Media from Queen's University, graduating with a Bachelor of Honours. Over the past year, I have been working toward completing my Master's in Media Production at Toronto Metropolitan University, which I finished in September 2024.
My Story
Throughout my time creating, I have focused on depicting the diverse experiences of womanhood. This is not just a professional pursuit, but a deeply personal one. I have integrated my personal journey and connection to femininity as a central theme in all aspects of my creative work, whether it's in my photography, videography, or writing. This personal connection allows me to bring a unique perspective to my work, one that I hope resonates with my audience.
My Master's dissertation and research project in Media Production was a comprehensive exploration of the portrayal of sexual assault and female victimization in North American media during the #MeToo era. I particularly focused on how these narratives are presented in film and television, and analyzed how audiences engage with these media texts. The culmination of my research was a comprehensive research paper featuring case studies alongside a creative installation that showcased film work inspired by my findings. This installation was hosted at She Said Gallery in Toronto's Roncesvalles area from July 12th to 18th, 2024. For more information about my installation work, please click
